God's free gift to all

The church exists for one reason and one reason alone; to further the glory of God on the earth (Matt. 28:18-20). We have been called to tell the world about the hope that Christ has given us through His shed blood and resurrection, so we must take every opportunity to do just that. This is also true for our church website. We must let you, the visitor, know about Jesus Christ, God's free gift, so that you can have the same kind of relationship with Him as our church seeks to have. Let's take a little walk down the Roman road...

Modern society seems to portray the idea that everyone deserves whatever they want because we are all "good at heart". While this is a nice thought, what is more evident is that no one has to be taught to be bad; sin and disobedience seems to be more "natural" than goodness and right living. Also, this idea is contradictory to what God says in His WORD in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."

Further more, God's WORD says in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life." There is bad news and then great news here. Our sin only pays in one way; death. But God's gift, His free and everlasting gift, is eternal life, should we accept it.

One verse that helps to explain how much God loves us is this, Romans 5:8; "God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." You must know that Jesus Christ was God's Son. God gave up His own Son so that you and I could have fellowship with Him. He sacrificed Jesus on the cross to pay for the sin of all humanity; past, present, and future.

If all has been explained and understood clearly, you could be asking at this point, "How do I accept God's free gift?" Well, I was hoping you would ask that. You see, the Bible clearly tells us there is a very easy way to accept God's free gift. Romans 10:9 says, "That if you confess with you mouth and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." You must know that in Biblical language, the word "believe" is not just an expression of one's mouth, but an expression backed by one's lifestyle.

If you are to the point where God has revealed to you Jesus died for your sins and He was resurrected after 3 days, please contact the church office as quickly as possible. We would love the opportunity to converse with you about the next step and introduce you to others who have made the same, life-changing decision. Please do not think of this in the same way as buying a new car; there will be no pressure, no "sales tactics", and no in-your-face kind of people. We simply want to assist you in any way we can. If this has been revealed to you, know you are blessed, for even Jesus said after Peter confessed His Lordship in Matthew 16:17, "Blessed are you...for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven." Please let us rejoice with you and welcome you into His Kingdom.
